The reality is, we don’t want to pee Google off, so the simple solution is to remove the offending block.
In our case, it was simple a matter of removing this line from our robots.txt file
- Disallow: /wp-admin
YOAST (excellent) says… we don’t block our /wp-admin/ folder. WordPress has a robots meta x-http header on the admin pages that prevents search engines from displaying them in search results. Source: Yoast
