Holden Cruze 2015 Gear Stick Knob
My son has a 2015 Holden Cruze 1.8 5 speed manual sedan.
He’s found out, after taking the old, ratty gear knob off (destroying it in the process as it’s the kind not designed to be taken off or purchased separately) and me buying a replacement on eBay beforehand that the replacement can’t be installed.
The gear lever has the “nobbled” finish rather than a thread.
Nor can the “universal” one we bought yesterday while still allowing rhe reverse gear lever to operate.
Rather than spend $385.00 plus 2 or so hours fitting cost is your club aware of any workaround or source of a gear knob that will fit and work?
We’d appreciate any help you can give.

2011 Holden Cruze – Won’t Start + Everything Locked
When I push the start button, nothing happens: no sounds, engine does not turn over, lights on dash but nothing else. Also, steering locked and cannot move into neutral.

FIX
Disconnect negative battery terminal for 15 minutes. Then reconnect termial and start the car. Apparently, this fixes a lot of related issues as disconnecting the battery RESETS the computer. The computer had locked the system in error.
Holden Cruze Flat Remote Battery
You get the dreaded “Flast Remote Battery” Message and the car won’t start.
Don’t panic.. there is a 15 minute fix
FIX = Look in the centre console for a round hole near the left side (front). Believe it or not in that round hole is a rectangular hole that the door key will push into. Push it in and wait 15 minutes. The car battery will recharge the remote battery, enough for you to start the car. You can leave the key in the hole while you drive to buy a new battery.
Replacing Holden Cruze Remote Battery
Do NOT pay anyone to do it.. it’s a DIY job. There is a removable flap on the back of the remote (oposite side to battons). Remove the flap with your fingernail under under the key side. Its quite easy to life and remove. CR2032 battery available at Coles/Woolworths and any button battery store.
