Answers to commonly asked questions

What is the order process?

Place Transcription Order, send recording, cost confirmed with invoice, settle invoice, file transcribed and sent.

  1. Submit digital audio or video file.
  2. Cost confirmed with (GST) invoice.
  3. Submit payment (Visa, MasterCard, EFT – Bank Transfer)
  4. Transcriptionist transcribes file to text (.doc).
  5. File is checked against recording and spell checked
  6. Confirmation sent with file

How is the recording transcribed?

Manually: file (audio, video) is played digitally (PC or player) and transcribed by an experienced transcriber into a WORD (.doc) file.

The transcriber is an experienced female, fluent in English, shorthand, 180 wpm typist with an eye for spelling and detail.
